Friedrich Nerly oil study of Aqua Claudia

For the exhibition "Friedrich Nerly. Von Erfurt in die Welt" at the Angermuseum Erfurt I was contracted to restore the oil study related to Fridrich Nerlys large composition of "Aqua Claudia with shepherds" of 1836.

Restoration and examinatin gave new insights into the sphisticated work process Nerly followed with this composition.
