Börries Brakebusch has been conducting Restoration and Research on numerous Paintings by Karl Hofer during his career. As member of the Karl Hofer Komitee Börries Brakebusch further pursues systematic and in depth look at Hofers Painting Technique. This research aims at a better understanding of Hofer work process.

This research into his oilpaintings has continued and has been expanded to works on paper since then.
